complexity, usually portraying characters and presenting a sequential organization of action
and scenes. We have read a couple novels so far, and my bet is that we will read more. So

What are the Ingredients?
A novel consists of many literary elements. This includes; characters, conflicts, plot,
point of view, setting, theme, mood and tone, and author's purpose. You should know
what all of these are but in case you don't, here they are.
Characters - A role representing a personality type, especially by emphasizing distinctive
traits Plot - A secret plan or scheme to accomplish some purpose, especially a hostile, evil,
or unlawful purpose Point of View(PoV) - The specified or stated manner of consideration or appraisal Setting - The locale or period in which the action of a novel, film, play, etc. takes place Theme - A subject of discourse, discussion, mediation, or composition; topic Mood - A state or quality of feeling at a particular time; the speaker's disposition about
the text Tone - How the text makes you, the reader, feel Author's Purpose - The author's reason for writing the text or article Conflict - To come into collision or disagreement; contradictory
